Camel ride is an opportunity to  enjoy the spectacular scenery of the island and relax on the rhythm of ancient times.

On Socotra camels are used instead of donkeys because the extent of the load they are able to carry is bigger and  the rough terrain is more suitable for them. Camels are  used to carry things but you can also ride if interested. Camels can be rented just outside Hadibo for a trek from the northen coast to the south. In the southern plain of Noged there are herds of camels which you can also hire for trekking or just for a short romantic ride in the sunset.
